Merging the brutality of death metal with the aesthetics of
Anatolian folk motifs and adding countless layers of
orchestration to create a unique kind of extreme metal by
pushing the limits of sanity with a synthesis of eastern and
western hymns.
That’s what KHEPRA stands for as a Symphonic/Atmospheric
Death Metal band since its formation in 2014. (Known as
Gürz till 2014)
The band’s debut “Cosmology Divine“ was released at the end of
2016 by Naturmacht Records / Germany and critically acclaimed
by many critics as one of the best debuts released in 2016.
The album is mixed and mastered by one of the best producers
in metal genre, LOGAN MADER (ex-Machine Head, ex-
Soulfly) in Los Angeles; who produced albums for bands like
Gojira, Septicflesh, W.A.S.P., Limp Bizkit, Fear Factory, Soulfly,
Cavalera Conspiracy, Devildriver, Five Finger Death Punch and
many more.
Since its forming Khepra has played in major festivals in Europe
like Kilkim Zaibu, Metal Heads Mission, Tbilisi Open Air,
PlusOne Festival, Rockoff Fesitval, Bosphorous Festival in
countries such as Ukraine, Hungary, Georgia, Belgium,
Lithuania and has had the experience to share stages with bands
like Nile, Gorguts, Vader, Opeth, Abbath, Decapitated, Mayhem,
ArchGoat, Mgla, Manegarm, Eluveitie, Kalmah, Harakiri for the
Sky, Naglfar, Skyforger, Ensiferum, and others.
The band’s second creation “ Anatomy of Sin, “ is planned to be
released at the start of early 2025, and this time PSYCHON
(Dinos Prassas) of SEPTICFLESH will be responsible for the
production of the album.
As part of the promotion, the band will be releasing two official
videos, and Khepra will be taking the band back to International
stages like before, and providing the utmost effective show for
organizations and listeners.
