From the shadows of the Karkonosze mountains in Poland, a new force rises: BRZASK.
Formed in 2019, the band channels the raw essence of 90s Black Metal, fusing it with the folklore and mysticism of their homeland. Their sound is both aggressive and atmospheric, echoing the cold spirit of the Sudetian forests and the ancient mountain guardian Rübezahl.
Their first demo (2020), later reissued by Black Market Metal Label, established Brzask as one of the most promising names in the underground. In 2025, they released their debut full-length Der Wanderer im Riesengebirge via Vendetta Records, mastered by none other than Dan Swanö. The record is a journey into ancestral landscapes, a storm of riffs and spectral atmospheres, earning comparisons to the intensity of Mgła, yet carving a path of their own. Where Mgła embody clinical precision and nihilistic philosophy, Brzask summon something more primal: a raw, organic force rooted in myth, nature, and ancestral mysticism.
